About Akebar Park

We welcome you to Akebar, a stunning touring caravan, camping and holiday home park, in a designated area of outstanding beauty on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in lower Wensleydale.

Situated in Wensleydale, and near Leyburn, Akebar Park can offer an area of outstanding natural beauty with magnificent views and excellent walking, famous for kings, queens and castles, abbeys and waterfalls, with moorland, grouse and purple heather, sheep and lambs and racehorses, green dales and golden corn, real ales and farmhouse teas.

David Bellamy has presented his Gold Award to Akebar Park for the conservation of wildlife and flora in our,meadows,woodlands, hedgerows, streams and ponds. 

You will find us on the A684, 7 miles west of the A1 from Leeming Bar. Follow the white-on-brown tourist signs to Wensleydale.
