We welcome you to Akebar Holiday Home Park, a stunning touring caravan, camping and holiday home park, in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in Lower Wensleydale.
Situated near Leyburn, North Yorkshire, visitors can leave urban life behind; we are without night clubs and fast food bars. We offer a natural environment of peace and tranquility which has been greatly enriched by the more than abundant blessings of nature, history and ancient settlements. Wensleydale offers many activities such as fishing, walking and golf. The Caravan Park also offers petanque, croquet and boules, as well as our traditional pub situated at the entrance to the Park.
Situated on the banks of the River Cover in an unspoilt and delightful area, this beautifully maintained holiday park is within distance of many historical buildings and market towns, such as Leyburn and Wensleydale.
| The caravan park has been owned and managed by the Ellwod Family since its opening in 1970. Akebar Caravan Park is open for 10 months of the year from March through to January 1st, for holiday home owners to come and go as they please. For the more adventurous, the caravan site is only a short driving distance from many historical sites, including Bolton Castle, Middleham Castle and Snape Castle, the home of Catherine Parr, surviving wife of Henry 8th. Facilities are provided for holiday home owners, touring caravans, motorhomes and trailer tents. |
